When I entered high school, French language was compulsory. At the time, I saw no use and failed the course. For the entire year, I just sat and looked at prints of Van Gogh above the black board. Now 65 years old, the walls of my apartment are adorned with Van Gogh prints. ( Having travelled the world, I appreciate and now speak English, French and Spanish)
