A new show's opened in New York devoted to photographing the human body.

“Naked Before the Camera,” which opened this week at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is an sweeping examination of photography showcasing the naked body. The show presents works mostly from Europe and the United States from 1850 to the present, including photographs by Nadar, Eakins, Muybridge, Brassaï and Mapplethorpe.

A planned traveling exhibit exploring urban life has been cancelled for Berlin this spring after threats of violence.
